GOALS: the new perennial garden will improve the stay of the all the people who pass by the hospital. The patients, their friends and family and the people who work at Sant’Anna will benefit from a more positive environment.

The “cantiere dell’arte” (Art Yard) is an exportable project which grows thanks to shared methodology and produces tangible effects. Through the community work it starts a transformation in the lives of those that animate the space, in this case the Sant’Anna Hospital, and which in turn are working to cultivate the energy of the color to humanize the medical processes and spaces. The goals are to create a new visual horizon across the redevelopment of places designed for socializing and to improve the quality of the experience of patiences and their of families. The project fosters a sense of belonging and re-appropriation of space through creative and collective actions and also relies on the potential of staff, contributing to the improvement of their daily life on the workplace.
The first intervention at Sant’Anna hospital involved Michelangelo Pistoletto on the occasion on 2012 Rebirth day. The blossoming of a new Perennial Garden at the Sant’Anna will involve young managers from UniManagement coordinated by the Education Department of Castello di Rivoli Museum of Contemporary Art and will be inspired by the work of  Lothar Baumgarten, Pierpaolo Calzolari, Teresita Fernandez, Richard Long, Giuseppe Penone and Mario Merz.
