POSTÈRE is the result of the work of 19 students from the class of Mise à Niveau in Arts Appliqués of the Lycée André-Malraux in Montereau-Fault-Yonne and their professors, in particular Mme Stéphanie ROULOT, professeur d’Arts Appliqués.
This joint performance took place on 21 December 2012 in the public area of the town of Boissy-Le-Châtel, with the help of GALLERIA CONTINUA / Le Moulin.
POSTÈRE is an interpretation of the “Third Paradise” by Michelangelo Pistoletto, which symbol is here composed of a mosaic of images.
In the Post-it art manner, the students offer a vision of the world as it is, as it used to be and as it may become. The images in black and white thus represent the two original paradises – the “background” of today’s world – the colour pictures stand for the Third Paradise and the hope it symbolizes.
The students have glued the 504 pictures composing the mosaic on a 4 by 3 meters support. They have then invited passers-by to watch their performance and reflect on the possible ways to change the world.
