The Espace culturel Louis Vuitton, the Palais de Tokyo, the Red House, the Dena Foundation, the Monnaie de Paris, the 104 Cittadellarte and Galleria Continua join Musée du Louvre to celebrate the Rebirth-day.
More than 365 people in Cour Napoléon, behind the pyramid, draw a human chain in the shape of the sign of the Third Paradise. One by one, participants light their torchesin the dark to draw the sign of celebration.
The Cour Napoléon is therefore illuminated in pink, the flagship colour of Michelangelo Pistoletto’s work, synonymous with rebirth and femininity.
The event, filmed by the Espace Louis Vuitton in Paris has been broadcasted on the web, presented during the exhibition “Michelangelo Pistoletto, Année 1 – Le Paradis sur Terre” held at Musée du Louvre from April 25 to September 2, 2013.
