GOALS: the event will feature a meeting/debate on the concepts of strength, responsibility, rebirth, creative civil commitment. Concepts that are common to both Pistoletto’s artistic practice and CRAC that is going through a time of serious difficulties. Next to this meeting and discussion there will be a group exhibition set up in the garden and in the newly renovated spaces of Novella Guerra in order to be “reborn ” all together under a new awareness.

On the occasion of the third edition of the Rebirth-day, the first worldwide day of rebirth Novella Guerra opened a day’s study and dialogue and a group show titled “Io vedo, Io guardo” curated by Annalisa Cattani with the cooperation of Raffaele Quattrone. The Rebirth Day is a part of the project The Third Paradise created by the artist Michelangelo Pistoletto and cittadellarte and it is a new social perspective, the perspective of a demopractical society based “on the dimension of making, on putting in existence real practices of creative civil engagement” as Paolo Naldini, director of Pistoletto Foundation, said.
Then starting from the central concept of the Third Paradise that is to create a new society creating communication, relationships, dialogues but also freedom and responsibilities that is consciousness and knowledge, Novella Guerra after a summer devoted to three workshops and the restructuring of some spaces opened the season with a group show that rather than an exhibition it can be described as a real presence titled “Io vedo, Io guardo”. The opening day was a form of solidarity and resistance in favour of CRAC in Cremona located far thanks to Dino Ferruzzi (one of the founders of Care of with Zefferina Castoldi, Meri Gorni, Mario Gorni and others) and Gianna Paola Machiavelli in the Liceo Artistico Munari in Cremona. Unfortunately while the CRAC collected accessions for an upcoming publication of the path covered in 10 years, the project was suddenly arrested by the headmaster for reasons beyond the will of the founders, nullifying years of commitment and continuity virtuous diffusion and dissemination of artistic practices in touch with privileged reality of cutting-edge research.
The title emphasizes the limited action margin that often today has all forms of resistance, but also it underlines the willingness to highlight that while having the hands tied we are continuing to look and see” without being overwhelmed by the indifference that millstones everything, but rather continuing to implement practices of attention, action and civil creative commitment.

The opening event featured a meeting/debate on the concepts of strength, responsibility, rebirth, creative civil commitment. Concepts that are common to both Pistoletto’s artistic practice and CRAC that is going through a time of serious difficulties. Next to this meeting and discussion there was opened a group exhibition set up in the garden and in the newly renovated spaces of Novella Guerra in order to be “reborn ” all together under a new awareness.
