School Project “Educating to Peace: Leonardo, Picasso, Pistoletto”

GOALS: the aim of this event is to let people know about the Third Paradise and Rebirth Day, especially other schools in Tuscany, on the basis of the firm belief that “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world” (Nelson Mandela).

Saturday 20th December 2014, at 10 am, the secondary school of Istituto Comprensivo Vinci is taking part in “Third Paradise World Day – Rebirth Day 2014” promoted by Michelangelo Pistoletto.
This participation is part of the school project “Educating to Peace: Leonardo, Picasso, Pistoletto” under the direction of Mrs. Patrizia Vezzosi (Art teacher) in classes 3A and 3B of Vinci Secondary School. This project was presented at Palazzina Uzielli (Vinci) during the “Tuscany Culture Week”: COOLT Toscana, from 9th to 19th October 2014.
This project develops the results achieved last year by the project “Toscanaincontemporanea 2013”, with the partnership of the Comune di Vinci and reported in the booklet “Spicca il volo” (edited by Patrizia Vezzosi), Photochrome Empoli in 2014 together with the DVD of the Videomapping showed at the Tower of Conti Guidi Castle on 17th May 2014.
Our original contribution consists in linking the symbol of Michelangelo Pistoletto’s Third Paradise with our Golden Rule “Don’t do to others what you wouldn’t want others to do to you” and passing the word.
